Stephen S. Jemal is a first-generation American entrepreneur born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. As the
youngest of 10 children, he began his journey working with his father and mentor, Norman N. Jemal, at the
family discount store in Spanish Harlem.
By age 16, Stephen had launched four successful electronics and music specialty stores. This early success
laid the foundation for his revolutionary creation: "Nobody Beats the Wiz," an iconic electronics retail chain
that transformed the industry.
